Watching less experienced students navigate Linux while teaching a networking introduction has also led me to a bias against hyphenated commands. I was surprised at how often newcomers will add a space into these two part commands. Extra an

This may not work for your requirements, but one approach worth considering is to create your instances without a key pair and then leverage Systems Manager to push your ed25519 keys to the system. This can be done with RunCommand, a manual

I'd been looking into OBS/obs-virtualcam until I discovered that macOS support wasn't there. Not free, but I have successfully tested ManyCam, which I believe will work well for my streamlining the process of switching betwee

Mine is in for repair now. Not fully broken but not registering a good portion of the time. Lived with it for months until I could find a convenient time to part with my laptop for a few days. I also was more or less happy with the design p

I recommend the RavPower 61W GaN over Innergie. The Innergie is smaller, but it is 3x the cost and, in my experience, less reliable and less ergonomic. I purchased the Innergie after a previous travel charger failed. Loved it at first, but

I may not be entirely right about this, but I believe that Gatekeeper relies on xattr to mark files as quarantined. This is a feature that I wouldn't expect to be available when mounting non-Apple filesystems. If this is the case, a po

I don't believe this feature is specific to macOS and the zip format. I'm reasonably certain it's possible to `tar` a symbolic link in Windows, Linux, or macOS.

I certainly do not love the keyboard (or touch bar), but I get by with it just fine and don't see it as a deal breaker. We have not had any keyboard-related breakage on our 2016, 2017, or 2018 MBPs, and I haven't encountered anyon
