It's really impressive how quickly new devices get emulated these days.

It'd be neat to see the shaders running in the browser using Godot's wasm export. But sadly that limits you to OpenGL ES 2, and most shaders seem to need 3.

On a related note, it's really important to hire a solid PM and keep them on for the life of the product, or at the very least through major releases. I worked on a product where the PM got changed several times and it caused total hav

The Cookie Settings link looks to be incorrect. I was curious what cookie settings would mean on a site from 1996.

On the flip side, if you watch the comments go by in the megathread, quite a few people are just buying 1 stock (often times just a fraction of a stock).

SPAs and things like React brought on this phenomenon. To their credit, they're doing a great job digging us back out of this hole. I read a lot of web dev subreddits where many/most members are newer developers. Virtually all of

From what I understand it's not every blog post, it looks to be still curated by you. Which is totally understandable, as otherwise there'd be way too many links in the email. Your newsletter helps (and I subscribe to it and am a

Yeah I get that. That was the case at my last job as well. But I also said "can you ask in foo channel?" several times a day, every day. It truly got old and was a pretty big distraction. That's why whenever nohello comes up,

I'm not really sure the developers are making these decisions. It's usually a project manager or someone in the role of deciding where to put money.

Sure, and OSes are written by developers and cost money to make. Companies have to make decisions on where to put their resources. Customization and configuration almost always gets the ax today, and cost is often a leading factor.

Allowing customization also increases the feature area of your product, thus increasing need for support, dev time, qa time, increased chance of regressions, etc.

Couldn't one based indexing be sugar the compiler provides? I don't think having pointers and indices behave differently is a good idea for the record.

I essentially treat them as the same thing and will switch back and forth as one gets a regression or the other fixes an old regression. My config works perfectly in both and frankly I can't tell the difference 99.999% of the time.

Yeah, rolling your own is probably a bad idea in most cases. My implementation doesn't generalize at all really and I only need to support desktop browsers. If I ever own source this app I'll let you know. But basically I have one

I believe the article is about showing all the files as thumbnails at once, so you can select the file more quickly. The article shows once you've selected a file it shows a preview of it to the right.
