Not to discount this app, but Trello is pretty nice here. My wife and I have several boards shared between us. It's especially cool to be at home and add a few things to the grocery board, then the other checks their phone and grabs th

Post-pandemic, almost all FAANGs adopted a full remote work policy. Apple competes with these companies for talent.

I have secure dns on my pi hole, but on my Android phone I did nothing at all. Just use it as-is, and when I'm on my home wifi all ads get blocked.

"Design system" is a pretty well defined term in the world of UX. For example: https://uxdesign.cc/everything-you-need-to-know-about-design...

Disclaimer, I worked at Netflix for 5 years. There are some interesting challenges in the clients. The TV client needs to run on devices with very little memory, and processors roughly as powerful as a Pentium 2. The JavaScript must be inte

That sounds more promising. The site might be able to store data and then send it the next time the page is loaded. I think at the end of the day, a malicious dev could probably find a workaround to most implementations. Might just be bette

I think the physical limitations of paper ended up causing a finite supply of ad space, allowing price of ads to settle. On the internet, there's basically infinite ad space. You can just make your readers keep scrolling, or chop the a

> Just upgrade it to be on the safe side Upgrading a dependency can go anywhere from trivial to absolute nightmare. Usually somewhere in the middle where it takes time and effort to do right. A typical JS app nowadays has hundreds if not

I do think he makes a valid point towards the end though. create-react-app, and projects like it, get a lot of bug reports about these vulnerabilities. It's a lot of energy dedicated to something that ultimately isn't that importa

I see where you're coming from, but I strongly disagree since you said "coding". I actually feel like the coding part of game dev is quite rote, boring and pretty much totally figured out. At least, for games that smaller tea

I'm not trying to defend actions like that. But it can be tough to be in those shoes. The video game world now has a good number of small outfits serving up very desirable items. Such as TerraOnion, Analogue, Black Dog, Game-Tech, etc.

Commute length is a huge factor. But I also think commute type matters. When I lived in Chicago, my commute was a 1 hour train ride. I rather enjoyed it, I used that time to read and play video games.
