They are not doing this for the fun of it. If they didn't have to, they would not do it at all. You have made a huge leap from scanning for pre-existing CSAM while in transit to a cloud service to scanning frame buffers on device in re

You seem to be assuming a human cannot tell the difference from some random NSFW content, and some legit known CSAM, 30 times. Try again.

Possible avoidance of being told how they have to do it later. They will have to do it either way, and they the fact they are even telling how us they plan to do it is more than we can say for every other cloud services. This is better than

What are trying to prove here? It takes a human not noticing that a glitchy image of cat is not the same as picture of dog, 30 times. Yea collisions are technically, possible. Apple has accounted for that. What is your point? Hashes are at

Are you being serious? #7 is literally "Apple reviewer confuses a featureless blob of gray with CSAM material, several times" 30 times. 30 times a human confused a blob with CSAM?

Writing additional code to check things that you'd reasonably expect the DB to handle is a slippery slope. It can work well if you are going into it with an application geared towards that mindset and behavior, it works pretty bad intr

I really don't need or want this flexibility in a production DB. One less cause of bugs without it IMO.
