I just want to add something. I, too, took a lot of personality tests 4-5 years ago. Briefly got a bit obsessed with them, particularly MBTI (Meyers-Briggs). The problem with these tests is that they play on the archetypes that we would lik

Or maybe we'll just start watching live TV of simulated life interacting with each other. Sort of like the Truman Show. Just like Big Brother or Jersey shore, but this time people can pay real money for things to happen to the simulate

Regarding your last paragraph, I’d still say there would be an inherent difference considering a single human being can’t speak / connect with everyone on earth. This limits the connection you feel. If you feel like things you’ve said

This is going to change the world in a substantial way. Imagine when these characters become so lifelike that they are near indistinguishable from reality. Imagine when someone gives them a voice and personality, and you can speak with them

It's the "commoditization" of the Internet. The other day I started thinking about how amazing toilets are – how much time they save every day. Bare with me. I went on thinking about the history of toilets, musing back to an

This might be anecdotal, but I only listen to my 'Discover Weekly' list on Spotify. Every week I get a new set of songs, and I mostly listen to those songs every day, until I get a new one. Some of the songs on the list, I hop ont

That's a pretty harsh generalisation. Edit: I should probably expand on that. Yes, in some cases keeping the founder as a CEO can be important for the morale of the team, but sometimes bringing in outside experience (the so called

I love the art made for the post. It's so emotional and powerful. The letter told the story, but the image made me feel the story. So simple, but yet so powerful. Also, @solomonstre has changed his Twitter profile picture. This is bril

Do a blood test. All vegetarians should do blood tests every now and then. As an aside; I ate a vegan diet for 2-3 years and my B12 was fine. That’s not to say it would’ve been fine 2-3 years later, though.

Actually, I just tested this. And it's not a control-click, it's a right click. The person that wrote it probably uses the old control click to right click paradigm.

I’ve found a simple approach to falling asleep. I close my eyes, and start trying to hear instruments. I start with the bass drum, add some hi-hats. It’s difficult at first, but as my mind drifts off, other instruments start appearing, and

It of course depends on what do you want. We don’t want a new Facebook to take over for Facebook, as it would just recreate the same issues. We need to rethink what social is and needs to be on the web. People are unwilling to pay for these

You know what's funny? The base premise of the ad would be that you can unlock anyone's phone with your face. In the ad she is unlocking everything, even those that do not belong to her. How could they miss this?
