Yeah, when you need an access code you are out of luck. Thankfully many professors don't do that. In a science major, if you take 4 classes every semester and then you assume that each book costs $250, then that's $1000 right ther

I'd agree with you if a book was $50 and not $250 each. I really cannot justify $250 x 4 (4 classes per quarter /semester) every semester just for the sake of collecting books that I will, to be honest, never look at again. If I h

Yes. But why people buy books is what I don't understand. At least for college and if it's not something you want to own for the future. Throughout most of my semesters I just rented the books. Much cheaper than buying.

Stuff like this has been around forever. I once drove a 2007 BMW 7 series which let me unlock/lock my car from my phone. I also got weather data etc. on my dash. Now it is finally making it to normal cars. My 2014 Passat has it as well

I just saw I read it wrong. Are you referring to seamless mode? I use mate for that.

by chrisper 10y ago
You need to install the guest addition tools or whatever they are called. Then under Views there is seamless mode. Were you not able to use it at all or just not with Gala WM?

I kind of want to have a development environment in Linux. I also like to game, so for that Windows (in non-vm) is better. So that's why I tried to go with WSL in the first place. But Virtualbox seamless is a nice middle ground between

Yes, but not everything. They do not implement everything 1:1 so not everything may work. For example, they implemented inotify, but they left away a few things and certain applications crash because they expect certain functionality.

I was experimenting running stuff like PyCharm, VS Code, Sublime etc. in WSl through X11 Forwarding. Eventually I gave up and just run it properly in VirtualBox with seamless mode.

All I noticed is since I started using VSCode is how much the developers communicate with the users. I filed a few bug reports and both got addressed rather quickly. I don't think this has happened before to me that I "complained&

In the article he said he could see his heart on a monitor. Was he maybe referring to the camera they use when they are in your body?

Yes, that is how I remember it as well.

What is a long time? I came to the US in 2012 and haven't been to a doctor since. Not going to lie, the $ sign is a deterrent. But I am moving back to Europe this year so I will go to a doctor there and get all checked up etc.

This is why it is important that you monitor your stress level and eventually just say "stop." Yes you may miss due dates, plans, and even make some people angry, but at least you don't die. I realize this is not always possi

Scaling in Windows 10 has been improved in the upcoming update. Now it still looks weird, but at least it is not blurry I am using a 2560x1440 at home with 100% scaling though.
