If someone has a massive black market operation, why would they give up any control at all?

Private equity generally buys EBITDa positive businesses from each other and founders. Highly unlikely PE marks many investments to 0, rather just less than purchase price.

I hired an executive coach who previously did exactly what I did. She helped me get rid of imposter syndrome and focus on what I was good at and how to sell that. I would do it again in heartbeat

I would also note that it was supposedly the son of a TPG partner(one of the largest private equity firms in the world) who spearheaded the Goldman Sachs analyst revolt mentioned in the article

I am in the finance industry and at the very least, they seem to understand that harder work should result in higher rewards (cash comp). For a lot of these startups or more standard work environments, the ask seems to be to work harder wit

Love the story, can’t help but feel it is a little too early to judge a success. I believe it though and because it is hard, it is unlikely to repeat in other industries. I love my job, but the amount of time for me personally to provide di

To be fair, I didn’t read the full post-Morten. Once I saw decentralized I started to tune out then saw the reference to bit-torrent and it brought back memories of Napster and limewire, etc. curious how we got from decentralized music serv

I received a turbografx16 handheld around 1991 for Xmas. It had a tv tuner and I had two games. I loved it but the battery life was so short I barely ever used it. To this day, I wish I had more patience and interest

That’s a good thought. I wonder if there is an aggressive us attorney that could tie the forwarders to the scam with some kind of RICO charges. (My entire understanding of law comes from law and order so take what i said with a grain of sal

Bezos read my email as a prime member. Think the chances of this getting you blackballed from work is low and the upside is there. Nothing left to lose in my opinion

I would think the 13F filing is the numbers you are looking for. Almost every SPAC that deSPAC’d (acquired a private company) is below the $10 mark that all SPACs close deals at, so even if this was the full list, it looks like they lost al

We don’t know that. We sometimes see small trades post IPO 100% higher than the IPO price but rarely would an investment bank turn down more money to give a better deal to a client. If there were 15 investors offering $100M at one time, the

Sounds like an overly pessimistic view. You IPO to allow early investors to exit and raise capital to expand. There are a lot of very successful IPOs from before 2020 and some of those that went public in the last two years will be ok

I don’t think that is true at all. There is economic value in a piece of equity in google. The price someone is willing to pay for it changes frequently. Crypto is closer to art than anything else. I get less value from a rothko than someon
