You're probably right, but FWIW it's not unheard of for google to announce, continually delay, and eventually completely backtrack on things like this, like third party cookie deprecation.

I was pretty similar. I heard so much about it that I figured I should read it, but that wasn't until my late 20s. I feel weird telling people I liked it because of how it's used as a categorizer. It's obviously a flawed phil

In the Yucatan most divers consider there to be a difference between 'cavern diving' and 'cave diving'. Cave diving requires extensive training and is very dangerous. In cavern diving you stay within the naturally illumi

I'm strongly considering it, although I can't get it where I live yet. I've never had a cavity, but I spend a lot of time doing endurance sports and very high carbohydrate intake has become the latest performance enhancer. As

It's striking to me that the difference for you between "my time is too important to stop" and "I was always trained to stop anyway" is just whether it's you or someone else that would get hurt from your action

Do you know how many times I've almost been hit by a car doing a rolling stop while running? We should absolutely use technology to prevent this. I'm honestly not convinced by this line of reasoning at all. Most laws exist for a r

I understand that OLX is like Facebook marketplace where how money is transferred is up to the buyer and seller, so often it's transferred in a way that doesn't enable disputes. For e.g. in Canada if you etransfer someone you have

It would be unfortunate to find out your distro of choice will stop existing within a month. I used to run Gentoo but haven't heard of this until today -- do many people use it?

Hacker news was traditionally an audience that's very hacker orientated. Over the years it's gained a significant portion of audience that are just 'in tech'. Some threads really show the clash between the two IMO.

I can see how you'd feel that way. This was a time when I was very experimental in my approach to my PC. I would put up with a lot of inconvenience for new or interesting ideas I suppose. I ran Gentoo about the same time and remember s

KDE 3 was already old when I got into tech well over a decade ago. It was snappy and efficient though. KDE 4 was beautiful and had fancy widgets but was resource hungry. Glad to see KDE 3 still has love.

Yeah this is an incredible engineering feat, but I don't think I could do it knowing I could just go out and spend $500 on an xbox series X to play the remastered version in 120fps at 4k instead. I admire this level of dedication.

You're maybe thinking of Meldonium, which is banned. The drug was developed in the 1970s and is a very common OTC sale in eastern Europe. It was banned in 2016 when WADA decided it was possible it could be able to act as a performance
