To get round the paywall, do a Google search for "More Officers Wearing Body Cameras" and then click on the link to the article in the search results.

That's still not quite right. It's not lazy evaluation that makes it feasible to "make a new tree" in Haskell (although it doesn't hurt), it's the fact that the new tree shares most of the state of the old tree

I interpret geocar's point as being that the (L)GPL is the reason that Apple had to contribute the improvements that they made to Konqueror/KHTML back to the community in the form of WebKit: sure, they chose KHTML because of its

Would you mind expanding on that? What exaggerated perceptions do a lot of people have and in what way do they not match reality?

It's been a while since I used Windows so I can't really comment on the current state of Cygwin but the one thing that I still recommend Cygwin for is to use the X server if you want to log on to a *nix box and run something graph

I've not tried Vagrant on Windows (or indeed used Windows for a while). Is it easy.to give the VM full access to the Windows filesystem, the way that Cygwin has?

Regarding point 1, my favourite solution to the problem of users forgetting the account name is to use the email address to log in, rather than forcing the user to make up an account name. Are there any reasons for not doing that?

When creating a poll like this, it would be useful to specify the question in a bit more detail. Do you mean what is your primary OS or do you mean responders to upvote every OS that they use even only rarely? I use OS X and Fedora at home

Would you mind precisely defining what you mean by "republic"? Growing up in the UK, I was taught that a republic is a country with a non-hereditary head of state. Under that definition, the USA would be a republic, as would China
