World of Goo is a must-have, even for non-gamers. It's makes for a nice break from doing actual work. ;) http://www.worldofgoo.com/

1Password's nice, but I've found Sxipper [1] to be better if all I need to use is Firefox. Sxipper has a really nice way of handling password changes, multiple accounts, and comment forms. [1] - http://www.sxipper.com/

Fusion's really easy to use. I've got Windows 7 installed on it, using the 'Vista' install option, and it's working great. It makes it so easy to get it working on the network, and to create a shared folder between the VM and your Mac (if y

Here are some of my favs: 1) Quicksilver. (free) http://blacktree.com/?quicksilver 2) VLC Media Player. (free) It plays pretty much every type of video file. http://videolan.org/vlc 3) Skitch. (free) Essential for quick screenshots, and

Indeed. FYI, if you click on any text in the search results, you're given a text field with its text within it. It's a few extra clicks, unfortunately, but at least they considered that.

Haha, nice. W|A just posted a video on YouTube [1] that explained that they weren't actually exceeding their maximum load yet but that there's a bug on some of their machines that will send back that response. [1] - http://blog.wolframalph

How strange... from their FAQ (under Web and other Practicalities - http://www.wolframalpha.com/faqs.html ): "Do I need images enabled in my browser to use Wolfram|Alpha? Yes. All its output content is rendered as images, for consistency."

W|A is good at dealing with huge numbers, unlike Google Calculator: http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=9999999999999999-100... http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=9999999999999999-100000...

Yeah. It seems like they're sending the results back (with tons of \n's), then replacing that text with images of the same text. I wonder why they're displaying images instead of simply styling the text? Strange...

This reminds me of the ad for Wario Land on YouTube. Unfortunately, it isn't as effective anymore because it's using the old YouTube design. http://www.youtube.com/experiencewii

I still don't understand why they can't just use a popular URL shortener like TinyURL, is.gd, or bit.ly that is unlikely to disappear overnight? It's not even like they're using their main domain name as their shortener to (possibly) increa

I was having the exact same problem with DD-WRT! Ever since then, I've just been too lazy to setup Tomato. I'll have to set it up one of these days...

If Twitter came out with its own URL shortening service (or would just buy bit.ly already), I'm sure the number of URL shortening services being 'launched' every day would drop significantly.

Why do you have such a large space dedicated to categories when most don't have any surveys in them (yet)? It'd be more useful if there were either less categories or a count beside each category link displaying the number of surveys within

It looks like you have incorrect permissions set for the favicon. /favicon.ico returns a 403 error for me.

There's also the 'show hidden posts' link at the bottom of the Facebook homepage, which has been a FriendFeed feature for quite some time now.

Ouch, that's terrible. I'm glad I switched a couple of months ago -- if I didn't this would've affected me. :/ Anyone else notice how all of the sites on (mt)'s (gs) client page happen to be online every time there's a major outage?

It's great to see that the OAuth beta received so many beta applicants so quickly that Twitter had to stop accepting participants for the beta. That's really encouraging to see the Twitter development community excited about something that

FeedBurner really has been getting horrid lately, so it's nice to see there's an alternative (although it'd be nice if it wasn't in private beta). Thanks for the pointer to FeedSqueezer. :)

The other thing to consider is when will all of our home screens get overly bloated? If developers continue to make apps that are single-serving, we'll have hundreds upon hundreds of these apps that we want on our devices. I don't want it t

Essentially it allows you to favorite an item to refer back to later. It's like Twitter favorites, but beside each item, it also shows who 'liked' it.
