Also Corman Mccarthy. His books carefully balance the 'sound' of the prose to help the reader imagine the story. That's why his writing has a poetic tone that drives some people crazy.

Nothing. But Canada is a long long distance for many Americans. America is pretty big and Canadian cities are sparse along the border.

You're saying joining a startup is going to result in success? Talk about detached from reality. A 30k job at a local dev shop in Poland is going to reward you more than most startups in the US.

The expected value of startup equity is far, far, far below a casino. The ON bet at a craps table is 50% odds. Less than 1% of startups survive. You might as well go to the casino. You will save years of sweat, heartache, and stress-induced

That's how I feel as well. I have far too many cloud services I rely on. Not to mention the need to check in with my email for business/personal at least once a day.

Covid is one example. The PPP loans provided by the federal government to businesses were forgiven. That sort of stimulus, combined with massive inflation, is favorable to a debtor, not a saver. For many, taking on debt in 2018 to buy a hou

My guess is that the profit margins are so high, and the marketing is so cheap, you don't need a ton of sales to make money.

I had a bit of an epiphany when I read this comment since you hit the nail on the head so succinctly. Wealth is the only true path that gives you options. All other paths are dependent on income. There really is no other exit plan except fi

Agreed. I have never encountered a simple math bug in the wild. To a non-programmer, putting in tests for myfunc(x) {return x + 2;} sounds useful but in reality computers do not tend to have any issues performing basic algebra.
