I can see the company growing slowly into something large. Starbucks has left behind the craft and replaced it with automation and burnt coffee that can be tasted through 20 ounces of milk. Yet, the people still want craft coffee. This gave

Corporations can be evil, but if 5 corporations competed for consumer dollars, then there would be a lot less screwage happening to consumers. Government laws that disallow competition are the first things that need to change. Government sh

The article also mentions: "It’s also giving much less weight to college grade point averages and SAT scores" In 2004 I interviewed for a Creative Maximizer position. I received a glowing review from my brother who was a Googler.

FICO is crap. All it does is indicate how well you borrow and pay it back. Your credit score should not be a measure of how well you "do what you say you are going to do" -- which is what it has become. The guy in this article is case-and-p

Serving others is one of the best ways to get one's mind off oneself and combat depression. I would actually exhort you to commit to doing some kind of service / help for someone else. Start small. Thank you for sharing your story.

I've been using GIMP for probably 6 or 7 years. The last version of Photoshop I ever opened was version 6 and I hardly remember it. I've been doing web design with it for about the same duration and it is the staple image editor tool I use.

It's not amoral. I've been frustrated myself over domains I couldn't get, but I fail to understand how this is amoral. Too often we are quick to make moral judgments based on distaste (of which I share).
