You have to consider that go users can come from worst places(i.e. Java or Interpreted dynamic languages) so just getting a statically compiled binary to deploy it's already a big improvement.

Indeed, that makes me wonder how difficult for companies like Nginx is making profit from open source, well they were acquired by F5 a couple of years ago so probably they were doing quite well I think.

In all these years the only thing I've seen has been despise against JS, if it was popular it was 'cause we hated it, we hated how bad designed it was, but then Node appeared and someone said that isomorphic JS would be a good ide

I agree, but the worse of Node IMO it's installing thousands of packages and MB just for doing a small thing, it's madness, every time I have to install NPM in a new computer I feel like I'm poisoning it.

I wonder why Crystal is not more popular today that it reached 1.X, as you say, it fixes some important Ruby issues but most importantly it also fixes Elixir's weaker points.
