Damn, I don't actually care about the paywalling, I just really liked their reader view. I've been using Firefox. Reader view is decent.

Ahh yes, the mythical Ghost of Kyiv that hasn't been confirmed by literally anything. It's basically twitter hearsay that people want to believe because it's a cool story. Get outta here with that. OP asked for a good source.

Yeah, but this is HN. A weirdly libertarian group full of COVID deniers, people who think that it originated in a Wuhan lab, and those who care more about privacy than _literally anything else_ HN people are not normal. I generally ignore i

I think the NIST flowchart helps explain the use cases well https://twitter.com/sweis/status/1049047164117078016 IMO the main use case is a decentralized currency that isn't centralized by any specific govern

Agreed with the senior engineer sentiment. Finding entry level is difficult, but doable. Especially with a good intern program, etc. But finding _any_ senior engineers is hard right now. With FAANG paying so much, it's just hard to com

Uh, what? At least when I worked there in Seattle, I got 48 hours of personal time, a few days of sick time, and a month of PTO every year. Granted, my managers never cared about what I used (personal==sick==pto, use whatever) and I rarely

In my opinion, not really. Amazon management is far from great, that being said it's more that a developer that can "get into" Amazon can go elsewhere and make way more. FB is paying like, double of many of my friends at Amz

Yes, it's like this. But in general, Mossad and Isreali intelligence have done whatever they wanted with no repercussions for a long time now. This is, IMO, nothing new.

You can use thepiratebay to download legal videos too, but the RIAA still cares. Not saying that I agree with them, but "I use it for a legit purpose" doesn't mean they are going to act sensibly.

Not really. I was pleasantly surprised at the options out there when I looked recently. Entry level dev, yeah going to be hard. Senior level dev with a decent resume? Shouldn't be an issue at all.
