They do something but it's not really comparable to Google's signing system. In the case of Google, developers voluntarily give Google the keys (or have them generated), and it's explicitly clear that Google will take your up

Apple issue the certificate but you never supply them with the private key. There's nothing stopping them from issuing a certificate with their own key though. It's not like Android where the signing key has to match otherwise app

Apple at least keep your app up, and it's obvious there's a human on the other end. The responses are usually pretty quick (often within minutes if you reply straight away), and you can pinky-promise to fix the issues in the next

Weinre made building apps using PhoneGap/Cordova just that tiny little bit less painful in the early days. Really great tool.

That seems like it was the case, but the attackers got access to lower privileged accounts and used them to find who had that access so they could target them.

I'm playing through Doom 2016 at the moment, and if anything, it looks even better than that. Could be Youtube compression, or they've added in graphical tweaks with the Vulkan update.

I bought a Nook e-reader off ebay a while back for something like this. You can root it and it's just Android 2.2 underneath. Not a fantastic dev platform, but my plan was to just have it display images, and all the real work is done o

Could each box have a short lived leaf certificate signed by an Apple intermediate/root? Also they could just be signing content at the application layer like APT does, and the transport is plain HTTP.

Hah, I had a SATA cable jammed into one of my GPU fans. I cursed Sapphire for building such a poor card that failed out of the box.

Ubiquiti do this by tunnelling it through their servers. You can still get insecure access by going direct to the IP, but going to the Unifi site gives you full HTTPS. Plex do it with a wildcard and generate a new one for each server: http

We run one of their firewalls and it's pretty good, but between the security issues, and overhauling the licensing between 6.0 and 6.2 release, it's got me considering ditching it when we upgrade our network in the new year.

Not sure if it's the case now, but the previous reason given for such little RAM was lack of availability of high-capacity, low-power chips. https://9to5mac.com/2016/11/21/phil-schiller-again-breaks-do...
