V looks like a promising language. You know you have made it when there is an "awesome v" page on github. One question, why is the original `v` much smaller than the `v` compiles using itself? $ size v text data bs

I feel that the article should make mention of dnssec which can guarantee non-existance of dns records by signing every response. Of course this relies on the end user having a dnssec-aware stub resolver.

One thing I bet it does not include is a requirement to unlock digital devices when support ends (by providing any private keys required to install 3rd party software/operating systems). This would help stop a lot of old devices going

The website does not support IPv6, so I am guessing there are no IPv6 proxy servers either.

If you have disabled referer headers, the site does not work ("Your request did not contain a Referrer header."). In Firefox the preference is network.http.referer.defaultPolicy.

They claim that what3words is the answer to this problem, except they themselves admit (on their website) it is no substitute for addresses since many people live in multiple occupancy buildings, and their system is only for use at ground l

Perhaps one solution to this problem, which is popular in the UK, is set up child companies to do things like payment processing. If your provider blocks one company, you can simply set up with another subsidiary. Rinse and repeat.

There is a lesser known failure mode caused by cosmic rays which planes are exposed to the higher they fly. This causes bit flipping, and can cause a critical failure in a single computer.

Can we have a version using IPv6 instead of legacy IPv4? It would make things a lot simpler (no need for any fancy routing or nat).

As far as I can tell there is still no support for touch screen displays. It is a shame that the data rate gets higher and higher but this simple feature is still missing.

I wanted to try this for myself, but for some reason, the WASM target included with the RHEL distribution of Qt 5.13 is linked against a different LIBC than the GCC target, and hence does not run :-(

My fear for the future is that any computing device must have a government provided co-processor, and it will not be able to connect to a network without it. Any citizen found with an illegal device would be punished.
