I grow up with ICQ where you can click a button to talk with a random stranger. Boomers were crying about Internet addiction. 30 years later, I’m fine and the boomers are the ones getting addicted to fake stuff on the internet.

I've done a fair amount of heavy computing now. Integer factorisation is not something you can really improve with GPUs. This sounds extremely wasteful, a bunch of cheap CPU cores would do just as well with much lower hardware cost and

I worked in a country for 10+ years where the economy was not that good. The only place with true guaranteed continuous employment are government services or adjacents. Anywhere else you would see layoffs, closures or salary stagnation.

It is much harder for robots. Raw materials and manufacturing is expensive. We already have some decent robots, just too expensive for daily tasks.
