Yeah exactly. Kubernetes has some good built in tools for resource checking (and pods in general imo). I've found this most useful for asserting rules on ingress and services to control exposing of services to the public.

I wouldn't call this an operator since it isn't operating other applications. It's a controller which is configured by Kubernetes Custom Resources that extends Kubernetes as you say.

I've thought about this a lot, it's certainly something I want too. I think a case with a dial in each corner for shutter speed, ev compensation, aperture and iso would be enough for me to consider selling my camera. Perhaps they

Moving all my side projects from Heroku, netlify, Lambda, hyper.sh & S3 to a personal Kubernetes cluster hosted on GKE has been a huge help for me in actually getting my projects out the door. I'm the only user for almost all my pr

I've been looking the something that's kind of the opposite of this. I'd like to be able to use an address in my city for all my mail - when a letter arrives I'd like to get a scan as an email attachment. I usually get p

I think this is because people who buy batteries are likely to buy them again soon, at least more likely than any other product. Maybe you bought the wrong type, maybe you need more than you thought? I read a good post about this using wash

I think being able to say, "only allow women/men aged x to y to rate my photo" would be the main one.

My feeling is that you need to let users choose the demographic rating their photos. This clearly has a bit of a cold start issue though. I'd really love for a service using ELO/relative ranking to exist and exactly for this purpo

I'd always viewed password tools like this as less secure than 1Password etc. With 1Password an attacker needs my encrypted vault and my master password to get my email password. With this, they just need the master password (since the

This is a great idea for a project, the 'users who also posted' metric seems to have worked really well. The site seems to fail to load the 'hot' items for the subreddits when I click on them but that's not a big de

I've gone one step further and have built a simple CRUD app for all the things I'm tracking. I find this easier to update from my phone than a spreadsheet. I'm a big believer in 'streaks' as a form of motivation and

I know developers working at consultancies who earn a percentage of their day rate as part of their compensation. Though I think this is quite uncommon.

I switched jobs in February and have learned a lot about Kubernetes and Google Cloud. On my own time I've been playing with Golang, Bigquery and Image Stacking.

I'm not sure I follow. As in, is there something k8s might do better with its CronJob feature? I don't think so no... If you just wanted to run a container on a schedule, and you didn't have a cluster running already, Hyper s
