The issue with pointing out MS innovations from over a decade ago is that the only thing that matters with web technology is what's happening NOW. IE refuses to keep up with the way things are headed, and has essentially made its previous a

Nope, I didn't see that. I wonder if it was because I left a few items that I knew would not be publishing to my stream (such as 'city'). Perhaps that box only popped up if a user unchecks every single item in each field?

This is both hilarious and really interesting. I cannot stop laughing about the one someone named 'velociraptor cloaca'.

I wasn't warned. I scanned the dialogue page to see if there was any information, but couldn't find anything. I definitely could have missed a text block if it were either at the very top or bottom of the page and of normal font-size. But I

I was actually really annoyed by Facebook's new linking of profile items, but not at all because of privacy issues. (I really don't care if anyone sees the things I put on Facebook). I initially chose NOT to link any of my profile interests

About 2.5 years ago, my boyfriend and I had an idea and wanted to do a startup. I had zero coding experience, but I really, really wanted to be involved in a startup. So I taught myself how to code and then built the entire front end of the

That could likely explain why it's so hard to find the type of girl you're describing. :)

"Girls also always need attention." Yikes. Not true at all. Please don't make such generalizations.

Seriously? This is not even remotely what adjusting Facebook privacy settings is like. At the risk of being down-voted due to lack of agreement, Facebook is an opt-in service. They are making their priorities and privacy changes abundantly

The All Time Top Self-Important Tweets are both slightly disturbing and highly entertaining. In many cases, it's really difficult to tell if some people are just being ironic, though. There's a fine line.

I enjoy that the author tells me to scrap my To-Do List, but then suggests that I "Make a list of possible things to do, if you like, or routine tasks that need to get done for one reason or another." Um, that IS my To-Do List! To me, this

I hope not. Trademarking common words such as 'pad' is ridiculous. It's not like they invented some awesome word, like 'cromulent' and don't want others using it. Before we know it, they'll be going after MaxiPad, too.

A reasonable way to calculate the size of the universe is to first calculate its age, and then assume expansion at the speed of light. Age can be determined by a number of factors, including calculating the age of the oldest stars we observ

We make Facebook apps for YouTube channels, and the removal of app notifications definitely hasn't hurt us. In fact, it may have even helped, as we are no longer getting lost in a pile of app spam. Our users actually want to be notified whe

I see where you're coming from, too. I guess I just worry that by the time this guy takes care of all the legal stuff associated with being a foreigner starting a business, the window he actually has to build is going to close. And you're r

But he's not likely going to make any money in the next several months, so for now he should just build. If he starts making substantial revenue, he can deal with the legal stuff at that point.

If all you're building is web products and you can afford to live for a few months, just start building!! You don't need to have a 'business' to do this. Please don't pay for legal advice or try to incorporate. You can do all of that later

As someone with a degree in astrophysics, that was extremely, extremely painful to read. My favorite was, "It shouldn't float away just because I've never seen it happen".

This is correct. But my point is that while exercise is a contributor, it isn't the only factor in weight loss. So for this article to conclude that people need to exercise for an hour a day in order to avoid weight gain without mentioning

I don't understand why this article doesn't mention how much these women were eating. From my understanding, the number of calories eaten is just as large of a factor in weight regulation (if not more) as exercise.

I don't think the act of getting high and scribbling lyrics on napkins is exactly a low probability event for rock stars, so there could be a good chance this is actually true. :)
