I personally would never trust google with something as important and all encompassing as my OS. I value my privacy far too much for that, and seeing as how google collects usage data for just about every action you perform on services they

> with HTML5 going forward the "flash is needed for videos" idea is going to vanish... Never mind the fact that you will have to go forward about 10 years before most browsers support HTML5 in it's entirety.

There's a greasemonkey userscript which automatically expands a lot of shortened URLs. Just search the userscript repository for Tinyurl decoder (it supports a lot of services including tinyurl and bit.ly).

The first thing that struck me was the clean, simple interface. The demo is quite nice, and viewing expenses as graphs is quite handy. Since you are aiming at making it extremely simple to use, I suggest you combine all those 4 text boxes (

So it shows videos corresponding to Twitter's trending topics eh??? Hmmmm, I didnt strike me as something I'd use. I can't exactly pin point why, but I think it's because it's going to be very rare that trending topics have any appropriate

Well if you're interested in fleshing it out, I might be able to provide some help with the natural language parsing.

The problem is not how many different ways a rumor can be written, it's how many rumors can be written. Esp. considering the fact that you have websites which automate the process of rumor-manufacturing...

If you were going to create 100 different rules for that one sentence, imagine the costs of scaling up. It simply is not viable. The only way to make this possible is to maybe train the system for a corpus consisting of about a million twee

The idea is something I consider lame. Having said that you will probably make a nice little pile of cash from it anyway. So I suggest you spruce up that landing page. Listing 4 rules doesn't really give me an idea of what in hell your site

I seriously don't understand all the hullaballoo on the browser issue. All MS would have to do is insert a popup which shows the first time you run windows pointing out the fact that Explorer (the file manager bundled which is part of the w

FYI there were 14 attacks on Indians living in Australia in the past 6 weeks. Or do you intend to mean that such frequent attacks are just usual stuff in Australia??? In either case, I doubt it is stupid. EDIT: I am Indian. I do not live in

Problem with an NLP parser is since twitter restricts to 140 characters a lot of people don't post proper grammatically correct sentences. This makes the parser much more complex since the parser will then have to guess the intended meaning

Perhaps the only way you can accomplish this is to destroy the data on the drive after first use, but then it still can be copied before first use, and if you do destroy files after first use, nobody is going to be pleased. Your better off

You really should explain more about the app on the landing page. Maybe put a link to a screencast on the landing page. And since there is so little text, you should increase the size of the text. Computer monitors are designed to be read f

I would agree with that. As an avid gamer, I don't see the point why anyone would play a game where everyone is equal. You get to progress in the game only because you are better than the others. A game where everyone is equal and reaction

Try gOS or the currently in alpha jolicloud. If you want a nice browsing and media playing experience go for Linux Mint. It has all codecs installed out of the box (including flash, divx etc.).
