Parliamentary sovereignty as a principle was fundamentally weakened in the tussle over the Brexit leave date: the government lost the battle but won the war. This parliament has been very ineffective in providing oversight of government. I&

That theanine has a beneficial effect on stress, via cortisol suppression, is a long-standing hypothesis. That it has other effects under the article's umbrella term of "emotional arousal" is one of the interesting novelties

If by ESG you mean Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance, I don't recall Amazon ever justifying a takedown explicitly in those terms. I'm also not aware of any occasion of Amazon taking down a site that was clearly motiva

You do not need FreeBSD jails if you have Linux containers; even so, jails are better for most sysop tasks. Likewise I much prefer KVM to Bhyve. I note SmartOS supports both KVM and Bhyve.

I just find it nicer to admin: things work the way I expect them. Two things in particular: I can configure FreeBSD jails easily and be confident in the security model, where Linux containers are just way too complicated if you want to run

I'm still able to edit the title: care to suggest another version that fits within 80 chars? The title alone fits, one char to spare, but I didn't want to pass off a 4-y.o. paper as if it was pharmacological news.

This is a curious take on the state of calculus before Cauchy: mathematicians were interested in infinite series, but aware of paradoxes around convergence: for example, the set {1,-1/2,1/3,-1/4,1/5,...} doesn't hav

Any application using content addressing can make use of at least some IPFS technologies. Sharing the contents of /nix/store on a local network or VPN is something I've been thinking about recently.
