Since nothing about the keys themselves is new(the new stuff is how I would use the control surfaces), I should start making a prototype by ripping out the keys from some existing keyboard:)

I wish there was a developer workstation in this form factor (with split keyboard insted of joysticks, of course). Plus the holes so I can strap it around my neck like we did with cameras many years ago.

It definitely is not self-sufficient when it comes to food. But trade routes are pretty low tech things, we've been having them for thousands of years, I expect them to reappear quite fast.

Can't agree more. My favorite way to cheat with them is to have integration tests that follow demoing scenarios, so you can run them right before the demo (preferably twice)
