Denver driver/transit-er here. Cars aren’t automatically better than transit in many cases. The rail is nearly as fast and much less hassle along the I-25 corridor, which is why I take it. My route is probably the most optimal of cours

"... is like saying I'm putting my company above my health." From parent: "Ron Conway: Well I mean are you willing to work 24/7" So, yes. That's exactly what they are saying.

The general term is "Bootstrapping" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bootstrapping_(compilers) Generally you start with "something smaller/easier" and build your way up.

Braking power is proportional to mass and velocity. Larger mass moving faster needs bigger brakes. Electric motors can be used to provide some braking via regeneration, but even so braking generally comes down to "how much heat can you

Having lived in a "remote" (read not actually remote but not served by any ISP) area nearly anything would have been better than dial-up. Way back in the day (10-15 years ago) my friend with satellite Internet had 300+ ms pings

I am not a fan of Comcast, but I'm not switching my hard-wired Internet for satellite Internet which is high-latency and subject to weather conditions.

I'm not sure what you mean by "I don't get to choose if I need one". Both Android and iOS natively support VPNs, and most corporate phones are set up to connect to the corporate network securely via VPN - on many US carr

Another satisfied NewsBlur subscriber here. I’d add that the iOS app is excellent and I regularly switch between web and mobile without any synchronization issues. Highly recommended!

I'm responding to your question of "Why should we have density?" I do not care to quibble about the number of benefits, merely to state there are measurable ones.

Density provides many benefits. For example - how much is an hour worth to you? How many hours a day do you commute? How many hours are just sitting in a car watching traffic (or the countryside) driving back and forth to work? That certain

Yep, I've owned Jeeps (YJ, TJ) and regularly ran with no top/no doors. Rain gets in, pull plugs, rain goes out. Also mud and deep water. But that's another story. :-)

I've heard (citation needed) that if you are going to be in an accident the best step to take is to relax. Anecdotally, it depends on how far away you see it coming. I'm constantly scanning front, rear mirrors, and side mirrors an
