I once failed an interview because they asked how I’d solve a geospatial problem in Postgres and I said I’d use PostGIS and order by ST_Distance. The guy said “what’s postgis” and I knew it was over.

It’s bad enough that people are trying to have romantic relationships with these things. Now people want them to have politics.

Same. I grew up on a farm and was constantly outside and around dogs and horses. I need allergy shots as an adult.

This is demonstrably false. Large supermarkets in the US have far more SKUs in produce, dairy, and meat than they did 30 years ago. I can still remember the first time I encountered a number of vegetables in the early 2000s which suddenly a

Choice is an aspect of freedom. You could have absolutely freedom from any kind of social or political obligation or coercion and if all you can do with that is how potatoes then what good is it?

Norquist has always been a partisan hack. To his credit he was against the Iraq war when that was unpopular with Republicans, but he’s acquitted himself especially poorly in the era of Trump. That said he’s not and never was a libertarian.

That’s funny, I agree with all of those but tailwind which I find to be super convenient for small teams where most people aren’t css experts. Maybe that’s a specific problem but it feels pretty general to want convenience on top of base cs
