The landing page is weird; it talks more about the funding for the framework than the framework itself. There's only one image showing UI, and the way its styled (cropped, tilted) makes me think its a stock photo, not a screenshot. The

How do you know if an article is good or not? You have to waste your time reading at least some of it. I've found it useful to have ChatGPT generate a summary, then if the summary sounds interesting, then I read it.

Here's the most recent article I summarized: https://daringfireball.net/2024/06/wwdc24_apple_intelligence Gruber has always been loquacious, but this one seemed excessive to me. Still, I was curious for his o

Thank you, this definitely looks familiar! The gray terrain I'm remembering could've easily been snow. I'll check it out to confirm :)

In the 90s, I played a computer game whose name I haven't been able to remember. You built railroad tracks and trains would pass through your town(?). I'm pretty sure it was played from a top-down view and the terrain was gray, bu

Inertia with group chats is surprisingly strong. Following some iOS bug that was causing an MMS group chat to break down, I ran a poll to figure out which platform to move the conversation to. Even though Discord won, no one was using it. T

I'm not personally surprised. To me, this is like the Fortnite case where the discourse has suddenly moved from hypothetical doomposting to a concrete scenario.

Have you taken a look at PowerShell? It can infer whether you're invoking a command or function. Disclaimer: I work at Microsoft, but not on PowerShell.

I just saw an ad on Facebook for a Meta AI image generator. The ad featured a little girl doing prompt engineering, then being excited at the picture of the unicorn it made. It made me sad :(

I actually think VSCode is one of the best use cases for Electron. It enables a robust and well-documented set of APIs for extension and theme developers, which IMO is why it has one of the most thriving extension ecosystems out there. Disc
