US emissions peaked in 2007 and have since fallen to 1980s levels: https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=52380 2021 reversed this trend. Guess why?

Agreed, but small nitpick: the early ‘80s was mostly 8 bit, eg the C64, Apple II, MSX, etc. It was possible to acquire a more or less complete idea of how these machines worked. My C64 had documentation that detailed every memory location,

My mistake, sorry. I thought you were implying Canada wasn't a NATO member. I agree with your economic nationalism comments. But Canada is in a special position here: the US Arctic is contiguous with Canada's much larger Arctic re

I might be misinterpreting your comment, but the mountains of Spatzizi and BC in general are not part of the Cascades, other than a small area near the border around Chilliwack.

Konqueror says hello. I’m only half kidding, it was actually somewhat capable and I used it a lot. For those who don’t know, its legacy was khtml, famously forked into WebKit and Blink.

It’s interesting you even have to point this out. Maven solved this and other problems literally decades ago but the repository packaging wheel keeps getting reinvented. For example, here’s the page on Maven Central’s immutability policy:

Yes, at one time it was estimated that roughly 1/3 of Vancouver’s condo supply was vacant. So the city implemented an empty homes tax [0] and promptly raised $115,000,000 in tax revenue [1]. However, the tax is still far too low and it
