In 1/10 cases, it takes me over 20 seconds to unlock my phone. The new "click twice to unlock" feature combined with apparently hard-to-detect fingerprints is really annoying.

Analogous to the fact that it is very hard to study the nutrition and long-term effects of Soylent on a big scale, with a diverse set of people, the same seems to be true for "normal" food. How do you even _define_ a "regular

There's plenty of opportunity. For example, there are reports of flashing the wrong firmware (Galaxy Note) on a similar phone (Galaxy SIII) can lead to bricking touchscreen controller-

https://github.com/tools/godep should solve all these issues. Yes, it vendors packages. But it happens completely automatically and you can switch to your own forks at will.

The idea was that people should never make API-breaking changes for URLs and instead offer only new interfaces or make a new package at a different URL. Funny coincidence that google itself broke that idea.

Isn't this basically the same as the Espruino [1]? Has anyone compared the two in terms of performance and handling? [1]: https://github.com/espruino/Espruino

Happily looking forward to being rick-rolled, I click the YouTube link. It fails, telling me the German content mafia doesn't allow YouTube to display the video due to licensing issues. Woo!

I just tested it and it seems I can manage fusion and see the effect both if I switch them and if I don't. Now I'm confused. is there something special about these images in particular or has my perception been all wrong?

I reckon the noses in the examole images are on the wrong side. The images are cross-eyed, e.g. the left image is for the right eye. The nose on the left image should therefore be on the left, and vice-versa for the other eye. You can test

Oh, so I can tell whether the designer uses OSX by the fact that I can't read the fonts. That's nice.

Going completely off-topic: Why has everyone recently decided to use ultra-thin fonts everywhere? On my system (24" FullHD, Win8.1, Chrome 42 and Ubuntu 14.04, Chrome 43) the text is thinner than one pixel and thus unreadable below 130

The question would be what the safeties are you get for the 12K. If the cabinet is, you wouldn't have to fear a lot of damages from a bankrupt.

It really depends on the car. I mostly drive rentals, in the range of Ford Fiesta to Opel Astra -- all of them fell in that range.

Exactly -- sure, you can still hide behind a truck and go 100 km/h all the time -- but most cars efficiency sweet spot is around 130 km/h, and driving at that speed leads to more dynamic, occasionally passing trucks, etc.

There is some truth to that, we have more training: 14x 45min of theory school-style lessons and at least 12x 45min of practice with a certified driving instructor. Also, the minimum age to be driving on the road is 17, and you have to be a

Except that could encourage people to stay out of the right lanes -- leading to confusion or wasted lanes when trying to pass people, which happens all the time. If you closely watch a german highway, there are 2 to 3 lanes (per direction)

Disclaimer: I am from Germany. The speeding system we have here seems to make a lot more sense to me: On most highways, there is no speed limit. The only (theoretical) limit is the motor limitation of 155 mph (250 km/h), which can be
