I love that even my email templates are now just tsx files and rendered on the server with ReactDOMServer.renderToString(). No more context switching, everything is TypeScript / React and refactoring is an absolute joy.

"How does remix dictate how you mutate your data?" I didn't word it correctly as Remix doesn't dictate the model. It does seem to have a strong opinion on how to handle form submissions. Trying to closely follow the bro

Routing is indeed another pain point especially with internationalisation and having multiple dynamic/translated paths to the same page. My issue with data fetching is about the depreciation of getInitialProps() without a good alternat

A "complete solution" is perfectly fine to hit the ground running, but will not stay complete once you go beyond an MVP. I started with WordPress with a bunch of plugins and after extending WP beyond its intended purpose decided I

Sounds pretty dramatic on the surface, but it does indeed give great comfort to have a stable frontend library that's improving in all the right places. React + TypeScript powers the UI of my business and I've never felt more happ

It's part of the Cloud Vision API which supports (g)RPC and REST. Used it in a trading bot to detect if a tweet image (from Elon Musk) contained any mention of the text Doge or Dogecoin, or even a real dog.

Even though this is true, there can still be a lot of value in certain scenarios. For instance, this is why I use GraphQL strictly in my admin backends. Exposing the database almost verbatim through Postgraphile as an Express.js middleware.

Great service and deliverability but pricey if you are in the 125k emails / month bracket. I found Amazon SES to be just as good (or good enough) for just 12% of what postmark asks.

My telecom provider Vodafone doesn't support it, neither do any of my banks. My favourite crypto exchange; only a single key. The list goes on. There is still a lot of ground to cover.

"Limiting the backend stack to what browsers support is not great" Node.js shares the same language but that's about it. In the Node.js backend you have access to modules like lovell/sharp with optimized c code (libvips)
