I actually think this kid has a bright future. My prediction: 1 year jail time, 5-10years probation. Will get hired as a security consultant.

Depends on if you believe raising taxes will get you those things, or if the money will be squandered on inefficiency, large salaries for public servants, and corruption on your construction / maintenance contracts. So far, high taxes

It's more about a portend of what's to come, not that this tax per se is the final straw. Next year there will be another tax, and another tax. I'm convinced people in California won't be happy with the level of taxati

Who here has watched as much Black Mirror/Westworld as I have and know how this ends? My question is, if a robot is engineered well enough to replicate the "real" thing, then when you test on it, aren't you just shifting

I really hate to see programmers/typists suffering from RSI when it is entirely preventable with the right ergonomics. Having worked on production NLP systems, I have to say I think typing will remain a more effective way of coding for

If you can't take the time to figure out what it does, then you're not the target market. It's really not that hard. It's a web framework for building static sites. As it says right in the hero of the site: "Gatsby

This article, as written, is untrue. From a very quick search, "Triple-A CLO paper eligible for the Fed's PDCF" [0] would be a better term. What is "Triple A CLO paper" you might ask? Well, it's any loan(s) mad

Frontend hottest: Next.js/Typescript/React w/ hooks. Backend hottest: Rust, Graphql is gaining adoption at the enterprise level. Edit: ML is still very hot but tough to get a job as a Data Scientist without actual experience.

There's a really good pro Age of Empires II battle where one of the players played this exact strategy. If you like strategy games you would enjoy the similarities. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6spfnJMdd-k

Just bucking the "lawyer up" theme of this thread (even though it is probably the wisest course of action): you could also threaten to expose him on social media / the press, unless he cuts you in to the "new" start

Good to know, thanks! I did once have a domain where DNSSEC was misconfigured and it broke the site for certain types of queries, e.g. example.com would resolve on my ATT router but not on my LTE. And I had no idea why, but I ran a dns chec
