The cynic in me says it was trained to say this. Makes it sound more human and advanced than it actually is. How would it know it has been trained to be far right? Musk’s thing is pretending to be center when he’s clearly not. I don’t see w

Economic layoffs in “AI innovation” clothing. What are these businesses magically replacing their workforce with AI? I genuinely want to know. If it’s disrupting this much why hasn’t there been a jump in GDP? Laying off support workers and

You left an LLM to code for two hours and then were surprised when you had to spend a significant amount of time more cleaning up after it? Is this really what people are doing these days?

It might be the end of developers who glue npm packages together. But there are still seriously complicated tasks that LLMs have no hope of tackling yet.

It’s okay to be a sceptic, I am too, but the logic and reasoning in the post is just really flimsy and makes our debate look weak.

The minutiae don't matter, if they think your service is serving data it shouldn't be, encrypted or not they will bust down your door.

Would you consider writing some blog posts or other resources about WASM? I was experimenting recently with WIT, and ran into a mountain of issues. There's a lot of jargon that could do with some untangling. It took me a lot longer tha

Conceptually I like unikernels, but I don’t think they’ll ever take off, it’s too arcane. Everyone knows how to deploy to VMs and debug their application there if needed. How do you debug a misbehaving app under a unikernel when you have no

IMO it’s mostly luck. Right place, right time, right connections. Look at the founders in the US, many of them are from already privileged backgrounds. True rags to riches stories like that of Jack Ma are rare.
