As someone else suggested, some sort of lottery system may make sense for high demand areas, but I wonder what percentage of available sites that really matters for. I use recreation.gov and the WA state equivalent regularly and am able to

As GP states, these services largely have very easy cancellation processes. There is no need to pay for the “rest of your life” if you don’t feel the content is worth the price long term.

Exactly this. Some of the checks _are_ valuable. We found a couple of real issues and made good security improvements. But we also ticked off more than a few boxes that made no damn real sense.

We recently had to go through a website project and disable autocomplete on all password fields after a security scan as part of a PCI compliance process. For autofill password it didn’t seem to have any effect in _any_ browser I tested in.

Interesting! I had no idea Terminus has a desktop version. It's really wonderful on mobile devices... has saved my ass a couple of times.

It looks like this was released either in 8.x[0] or 9.x[1] series. Unclear to me which one. That means that only up to about 1/3 of Android devices[2] have the feature. Version distribution is one of the things that seems to tip stuff

That sounds extremely interesting. I’d love to hear more details about this — e.g. Where do you live? How did you arrive at the decision to go this route? How did you even know it was an option? Is this common in your area/anywhere? I’

Curious why this particular tweet was submitted. That is probably the lowest bill I have ever seen for childbirth. My first son’s C-section birth was $25k.

The "informed" bit really is telling here. It seems to imply that the author knows ESA didn't "ask" for anything from SpaceX. That or the author doesn't actually know what the communication was. Either way this
