I can't agree. I almost certainly don't "deserve" the amount of karma I have - I've just been around a long time. Karma accumulates automatically over time - the only thing quality might affect is how fast it accumulates, and even then just

Ignore the Hungarian haters. Joel's stance on Hungarian notation is laid out here: http://www.joelonsoftware.com/articles/Wrong.html

Besides being way off of the estimates of more reputable guessers, his comment provided no justification. Four word comment (essentially) = downvote.

Cute idea, but $9 for a basic A6 notebook? Eesh.

The one thing I have been unhappy with about gandi is the support - it's been slow (responses that take days to weeks), and the english of the support reps has been poor enough to make it hard to read/communicate.

How is screening out people who don't read the listing going to lower the quality?

I saw one of those in LA 1.5 years ago, I don't think they're exactly new.

Not all of those are strictly true, either.

I'm not sure what you mean - the "Gx" part of the model numbers changed. SSDSA2MH080 G2 vs SSDSA2MH080 G1

The most notable thing for me is that the G2 80GB is around $220, about $100 less than what the G1 is/was going for. At that price point, I'm definitely considering buying another one and putting the old one in my laptop. If you're not fami

See other comments here and elsewhere - deletionists are a major problem on wikipedia, and especially so when it comes to photos. The photo problem really is mostly a wikipedia problem.

I have no idea why you're getting upvoted so much, or really why you're complaining about this submission - "Confirmed:" is the title of the article.

Yeah, the guy was obviously looking to do nothing more than confirm (and push) his bias. The quality of his captcha is also questionable, since it was apparently not recaptcha.

I just recently moved all my domains from godaddy to gandi. If you look through past HN threads, I don't think you'll see any registrar more positively mentioned than gandi. I don't think gandi can be beat on anything but price (maybe monik

No doubt there's someone much more knowledgeable than me, but GPLv2 wasn't specifically anti-attribution, but anti-any-additional-requirements. GPLv3 specifically allows some limited forms of attribution.

I wouldn't consider it much of a concern - people can live just fine off of dumpster diving. Tons of perfectly edible (much less "contaminated") food gets thrown out.
