Agreed. Docker was suppose to inherently be about small containers. Vendors just choose to use the largest Linux base image out there.

Been using sublime, code and atom. Atom seems to freak out in unexpected ways and has the downside of spewing tose node.js errors. Code and sublime just seem more solid. I don't need explosions in my editor when I'm focused.

There's also major political tensions with the Saudi's and Iran. Some have predicted that if a war were to break out oil would rush back to $100 per barrel. Also, Iran must first past nuclear inspections before they are able to li

Makes me think having a pay-forward dev rating for companies. More meaningful than if you have ping-pong and snacks.

I think your questioning if that's the type of direction you want to take in your career. Anything can be learnt in time but ask yourself this before you do. Will you be happy working on a 20 year old codebase likely using old tech and

Go to a developer meetup in your area. You'll be able to network, ping senior developers for ideas and get to know some local dev shops in the area. You could even walk out with a job, most folks are often looking for devs that attend

Consider a lead, team lead or architecture based role. If you want control of technical desicions, a regular management position won't give you what you are seeking. Also pay attention to politics. That becomes on of the main items to

Can someone explain aiohttp server vs wsgi? It seems wsgi is the old standard but now you can run a server right in python, kind of like node. Are people running aiohttp instead of wsgi? It seems like aiohttp can do everything that Flask ca

Alpine looks great and has grsecurity baked in. I've been struggling to find a lightweight PHP image, they're all huge. I'm starting to see a big advantage for Go in the container world where I've seen containers 10MB in

Make sure your whois contact info is up to date, not whois guarded and works. The majority of domains I've sold privately, when the buyer directly seeks me out. Haven't had much luck in marketplaces.

Respectfully, I don't think this puts this project outside the scope of any other static site generators as listed. In my view a content only API would be more disruptive. A smart content API as a service could be used for any project.

1. Things like graphql for rest apis will be the standard. There will be more mature languages and tools than ever to choose from. Swift will see some uptake as a web language. 2. Competition will disrupt JS as the only front-end language.
