I used to work for the consulting arm of a telco, and the projects with the telco direct involvement demanded IPv6 compliance by early 2013. You would think that working with a telco, getting IPv6 is easy. Except it is not. It is a mountain

As a Singaporean, I don't think we have an "emotional deficit". We just have greater risks when speaking up. For example, a lady working here was hounded out of Singapore because of a facebook post. The online lynching mob even included the

Or it could be a Chinese Zodiac sign thing? There are 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac, each representing a year in a 12 year cycle. Goat and Monkey are two of them. I'm a Tiger, which means I am either 2,14,26,38,50,62,74,86 or 98 years ol

Nate Silver claims to be a statistician, not a clairvoyant. While there is a sense of inevitability of Romney's nomination, I think it is obvious that the Republican voters agree with you that he is not a compelling candidate and were despe

I'm not American, and US broadband rates are eye-popping, so I agree the business is high margin as it is. But once there is serious competition, by the implied entry of Google Fibre, then the margin will shrink quite a bit.

So says the rest of the world. But ISP business is low margin, labour intensive, which is not quite congruent with Google's high margin media sales model. Like the 4 billion dollar bidding for wireless spectrum, I suspect Google's main moti
