I usually try to get into an IDE from vim every 6 months/year and Zed is the first IDE when I actually came close to being successful. Usually what kills me with IDEs is distractions, things getting in your way, and responsiveness. Z

Pretty much a settlement that lets them both pretend they "won." Billy can keep saying he has a title and Twin Galaxies can keep pretending like they have a good reputation.

Funny because Karl Jobst posted a video titled "Billy Mitchell Lost His Lawsuit" but it sounds like he actually won?

Exactly this. They're all charging for bandwidth. If anything you could say that AWS is the closest to actually having unlimited bandwidth (or at least, half-parity there) since they don't charge you for incoming data, where othe

Unfortunately its intractable to separate oblivious rubes from willing accomplices. Thankfully we have common carrier protection laws that people can argue they're protected by or not.

I fear I'm going to get flamed for this asking this, but I am curious in the most genuine way, and I'm not trying to make fun of someone's medical condition but... Is the CEO a stroke victim?

No telemetry, no activation, efficient non-garish UI, "NT stability" which was great for the time. Yeah, we'll never be able to get that back. I have Windows 11 on my gaming PC and it is... sheeesh.

Galvanized steel will release toxic zinc vapors starting around 400F. You hear this a lot when it comes to welding, but cooking with galvanized is bad as well.
