OLEDs and LEDs however still don't have a CRI that matches that of a nice incandescent light. There is much to-do in the theater world about when LED light sources will be able to take over the venerable HPL and other tungsten sources, and

I'm pretty sure email competency is required at almost every college these days. Certainly at my college, and at those of almost everyone I know, and I am not in a technology related field.

Non-profit does not mena that they do not make a profit, it just means that any profits are put back into the organization instead of it's leadership or shareholders.

The ECMAScript standard is very heavy, and doesn't have all the DOM/BOM stuff, but I've found it an indispensible resource.

I don't think it's quite fair to say that _.js is focused on maintaining a parallel with ruby syntax. It's more about maintaining a same functional API... But otherwise, good work. Library looks useful, and a great and very descriptive we

Since the lock is not guaranteed in the code, the variable is globally defined and the code only ever increases it. This means a step in the chain of killing could get skipped, but that doesn't matter, as there's always a more violent opti

This is the first big step to actually creating an ecosystem for plan9. It's a fantastic OS, though there's not much I can do with it, unfortunately. Maybe that will change now!

That, and it took a bit for Hotmail to catch up on having huge mailboxes. It used to be that if you weren't on gmail or a private provider, you probably couldn't handle getting 3-4 CAD files a day for weeks at a time.

The people I know who use hotmail these days all love it. Unfortunately an @hotmail.com email address in my field is just instantly regarded as unprofessional and laughable.

This is a fantastic idea, my city has similarly bad bus schedule postings. I'd love to see some usability studies on what a bus schedule should look like though. Usually the actual schedule design is just as awful as the way it is posted.

Great article on how to get Nginx to JSONP for you, but I question the idea that setting up a proxy to a paid API with your client key embedded is a good idea... Seems easy to abuse.

More interesting than the split vote on this test are the arguments in the comments. What actually is the correct behavior? C99 is better than K&R C, but as the article says, it's vague enough that it's not an chip agnostic assembler.
