Thank you for doing the leg work with this. I think that anyone who wants to use this needs to look at payments very carefully so as not to run the risk of rampant chargebacks or getting shut down by your processor.

I agree - I believe that hardware products that are accepted to Kickstarter should still leverage its inherent momentum. Based on reports from project creators, I have heard anywhere from 30-50% of traffic comes sources internal to Kickstar

I still believe there is room for a proper platform to manage crowdfunding for hardware - maybe with a distributed option as well.

It's very lean at this point, but hopefully it's a good starting point. Kickstarter was amazing for doing the heavy lifting and open sourcing it with their amazon_flex_pay gem.

This would be an incredible feature. Unfortunately, even within NFC the range of standards and encryption types across card types means you can't consistently do this. Our NFC implementation is really the reverse of this - rather than beami

I'm really concerned about the Varsity now that Borders is going for good. I don't know whether the building has any historical protection, however, I wouldn't be surprised if it disappears given the suddenness of the Cal Ave tree snafu a c

We don't have the perfect solution to this yet, but we've been mulling the idea of key code locks for a while. Current users who encounter this usually find some way to unlock their door for their guests after a phone call, leaving keys ins

Thanks for the idea! I wouldn't be surprised if we move in this direction. People love their fobs, but provisioning for temporary access on the big access control systems is a pain with current panels. The big issue is, of course, hardware

You hit it on the head with the latency - although it only adds second or two at max, we want to make sure that we can keep it as short as possible. That said, we have a couple of international beta testers who seem to have a good experienc

I'm current knee-deep in building a Titanium app for iPhone, and my experience has roughly matched tannerburson's, however, I have had far less difficulty with some aspects. For instance, I am using one line JavaScript IFs with no warnings.
