I hated the most recent redesign with the jumbo user chrome. So much so that I jumped ship. Went to Opera for a bit, no on Vivaldi. Vivaldi: Has a pleasant looking UI, is easy to customize the color scheme, has a TON of options for various

In theory, sure. In practice, how many orgs serve on both example.com and www.example.com yet operate each as entirely separate sites? I cannot think of any example.

Earlier this month we integrated a C++ library written by my team with a server written by another team. We saw the data corruption, and we knew it was a reference issue, but it took quite a bit of effort to track down. The cause was confus

The government wants everyone to have more daylight hours after work, since that's correlated with higher economic activity. From the government's perspective, they cannot force all companies to shift their working hours, but they

Fundamentally, the argument is that error handling in C is bad. That's both a language and a library problem.

If "new" is not allowed in the game's title, then delist the game. That seems like a fair and justified reaction. Deleting OP's developer account is neither fair nor justified.

> safe from a pinning perspective The reason you can't get &mut T from Pin<Arc<T>> is because the mutable reference lets you move the data in safe Rust, e.g. with std::mem::swap. So getting the &mut T from a Pin&

That 6 kB WebP looks awful . This seems a bit apples-to-oranges. To make the argument that WebP is better than dithering, the author should compare the 30 kB dithered image to a 30 kB WebP. Or even compare to a smaller WebP that lacks obvi

An underrated property of braces in this case is that a truncated document is no longer valid (assuming your document only has one top-level item). Truncate YAML and in most cases you still have valid YAML.

My favorite way to solve constraint satisfaction problems is by using the the excellent CLP(FD) or CLP(Z) libraries for Prolog. A sudoku solver can be written in just a few lines [1]. [1]: https://github.com/triska/clpf
