Crumple zones are designed to protect the occupants, not anyone external to the vehicle. Granted, the kind of basic design changes that would pretty obviously help with pedestrian harm are also.....not sexy. So seems unlikely car manufactur

Probably because there's a dispute over whether anyone was actually arrested, or if they arrested the wrong person, because the journalist who received the video says his source has not been arrested.

That exists. It's the thumbs down button. Granted, I'm unsure whether they use it to reprioritize the specific show/film, or the entire genre / broader category, or both.

The legislation also pushes providers to implement the technology. The incentives aren't quite aligned for phone companies to stop spoofing on their own initiative. They're still making money on these calls.

No, it has a pretty precise definition. It's money spent on political activism that isn't publicly reported, typically through a specific category of non-profit organization.

It's a little backwards. The top level article is the original. The grandparent linked article is the author's response from last week indicating responses to the top level article made him re-think and feel he was wrong.

I'd similarly call out Warframe for this. No required buy ins, but their premium currency can be used for inventory expansion, crafting instant completion (although you can simultaneously craft as much as you want), or trading with oth

Keep in mind "corp" is just a guild in this particular video game. Likely they just have a free/low cost forum page with some minimal aethetic modifications.

No, they're explicitly dropping the scientific study excuse, and using culture now. They're also only going to be whaling in their economic exclusion zone now, rather than going potentially thousands of miles.

There's an FBI affidavit linked in another comment that mentions a search warrant found additional copies of the data at his home, and that he'd been in regular contact with a Chinese competitor, who offered him a job and ~$60k US

In the US, an ambulance trip can cost thousands. Also, if after being treated / examined, your insurance decides you didn't need the ambulance, they often won't cover it.

The fact that CS programs / education largely start at a college / university level is I think a bigger problem. A growing set of countries have such courses as required curriculum for all students, starting earlier.

There's no formal structure/rule for which prince leads / who is "closest" to the throne. It comes down to politics. MBS has many many siblings and cousins, essentially any of whom could "replace" him.
