If only laws and having to respect people and privacy didn't exist, then we could build our machine God and I could maybe (but probably not) live forever!

This is not how statistical analysis works. You need to know how the comparison was done to know if it's valid. You can't merely tell me the data points you've used as evidence of the success of your methods. With claims like

You could assign me a task from your job and I could trivially complete it using agents. However, I will charge consulting rates.

Again you're taking your own circumstance or even patent inability and extending that to the entire technology. You've set yourself up such that all I need to do is go "I'm developing complex veterinary software includin

Say, isn't there a country with a bone to pick with the UN that is considered """friendly"""?

Okay well I and many other experienced engineers disagree so the only remaining conclusion is that you're misusing the technology.

Can we get some laws to force these companies to start subsidizing the consumer grids they're pummeling? The electric bills are getting out of hand.

The technology isn't there yet. All signs point to it rapidly progressing towards this inflection. Current agents are insanely good, every decent programmer using them knows this.

"We can remove your programmers valued at millions per month for $100/month secure cloud agents" Pretty easy sell.

There are all manner of things you can and cannot do with 'data'. For example, you cannot purchase a Blu-Ray, rip its contents and post them on the internet. This shouldn't be that "interesting".

I don't really know how to answer that, it's a highly fragmented legacy codebase that is responsible for many millions in revenue. I do know that given my experiences though it's time to sound the alarms as many others have.

Nope. I regularly do 80-100 chunks in a mature codebase. Literally every day at work. I know it feels good to pretend this isn't happening but it's too dangerous to pretend.

The problem is you're thinking of projects in the sense of 0-100. If you think of projects in the sense of 0-20, 20-40, 40-60, 60-80, 80-100 you realize AI is here to stay and is going to change everything.

Merely saying something does not make it so. I feel like you're too far off what I would consider a thread of conversation to continue this, I wish you well though.

How is it tautological? Some form of it is the very basis of atheism. Doomsday timelines have lower numbers of observers. In all timelines where you are no longer an observer,i.e. all current doomsday timelines, your observation has ceased.

There's a certain anthropic quality to the idea that if we lived in a doomsday timeline we'd be unlikely to be here observing it.

You're saying the words but I suspect you haven't interrogated them. Again, I'm not sharing my speculation, I'm sharing my actual experience and conclusions as an atheist. Anyways, it doesn't seem like we're ge
