I believe the standard library for bcrypt in ruby also uses salts, it just stores the salt with the hashed password data. Salts will prevent the typical rainbow table attack where you have precomputed hashes for a large number of attempts.

We do spend more on healthcare than any other country, it's just that we also have more lawsuits than any other country -- it's what keeps costs high unfortunately. If we weren't allowed to sue doctors, we could probably have cheaper healt

well nobody says we have to go 2x in debt to pay for healthcare, we just have to stop spending cash on nation building and we'll have enough for ourselves. Of course this probably means less money "defending the border" and keeping the cou

According to: http://php.net/manual/en/function.crypt.php CRYPT_MD5 - MD5 hashing with a twelve character salt starting with $1$ So the hashes you see beginning with $1$ are probably salted.

One elegant solution mentioned at a DNSSEC talk was to simply include your crsf token in the header of all get/post requests and have the server reject anything without said token. Assuming you'd be using some js library to do your ajax, y

You still have to admit that zed went through a lot of trouble just to stop the harassment. I'd probably make a blog post too if the harassment went on for as long as it did for zed.

The taste of coffee is directly proportional to the length of time sitting on the shelf after roasting. Even the worst-grade green beans taste great after a fresh roast. I roast my beans in a $9 popcorn machine I bought at Walgreens.
