The Dojo is a little bit more expensive so that we can improve the space for coworkers -- stuff like buying spare monitors, desks, chairs, heating & cooling, etc. There's no overhead -- 100% of the member's cash goes into rent & imp

I've been using namespaces with path methods like namespace_resource_path in 3.0.1 without issues... I think they just made the rules for calling a route more strict since without the namespace prepended on the path method could lead to co

I guess you'll have to find a new place for email when your business grows beyond 10,000 employees... When you have 10,000 employees, you could probably just get a team to author their own version of gmail.

Does it? I don't see it in mine. HN doesn't use jQuery and when I fire up my console, the $ variable is not overwritten with a jQuery object, also there is no jQuery variable available.

According to WSJ, the average developer in the bay area makes $99k: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142405274870343950457611... So if you're making $100k, you're just making what everyone else is making :-)

Depends what kind of developer you are. If you're a developer that requires a posix environment, you're definitely better off in the mac world. Thinkpad with Linux is sometimes an option if you're confident that everything is supported, b

My experiences with nailgun have been mixed for rails development. Nailgun doesn't search & parse all the ruby libraries found in your Gemfile, or included as part of the rails startup time, so rerunning "rails generate x" doesn't seem

There are great non-blocking IO examples out there which are pretty easy to find (look at any database, file system, or networking library), but I think jsdom is a rather unique library that is hard to find in other languages: https://gith
