Why are you comparing a framework's documentation to a language docs? I would assume people using rails would already know ruby so it wouldn't make sense to categorize their documentation using some kind of arbitrary categorization. If yo

I have flash on my N1 too (froyo), but it's definitely noticeable when the webpage has flash on it -- even when it's a tiny flash ad somewhere. Scrolling the webpage becomes really choppy -- sometimes I wish I could disable all flash excep

There's always backports.org :-) I'm surprised how many debian users don't know about backports. The packages there are quite stable and is useful for the one or two things you need updated versions of.

It's hard to say though... given that being gay is most likely in the genes, which obviously come from a heterosexual creation. So if the gay population will always have a 10% yield in the gene pool, I don't think natural selection will h

Video is more powerful potentially, but it's also very hard to "edit". I remember applying to YC via a video app and I probably had to redo the video at least 10 times before I felt satisfied with it. It's easier to just edit text with a

Well if there are specific issues on mailman, it will make it that much hard to google for, especially since the other mailman project is similar. Your project name doesn't even make sense... a mailman delivers mail, not route incoming ma

You can get 3rd party tools to configure this if you want. Use something like BetterTouchTool if you want to configure a gesture to fire up GMail. Right now I have a 3-finger swipe up for copy, and 3-finger swipe down for paste. I also h

Belkin is commodity hardware already. I would put Belkin along with Rosewill in the same bucket, only Rosewill products are half the price and much higher quality.

I have a macbook as well as an EeePC running ubuntu. I can say with absolute confidence that the EeePC trackpad is garbage -- laggy, imprecise, slow, no multitouch. It's amazing how well Apple can innovate on something as simple as a trac

I also love the 3 finger navigation in web browser. I remember in the old days I would right click the page and select the "back" option so that I didn't actually have to do much movement.

Well, anyone can still write crap code with Django, it doesn't require an enterprise C# language to produce crap. Django templates still have logic that needs to be tested & debugged so the template filter functions don't alleviate all

Agreed. It's like saying they should have written Quora using C# because there are more developers for it instead of a "fringe" language like Python.

I just find it strange that it took the Django project so long to finally realize this. Django 1.2 was released in May 2010 -- we shouldn't be "innovating" on something as basic as an "if" statement on a 15 year old language. The unfortuna
