I don't know why you're being downvoted, but I think there are quite a few of us who have at least a thousand unread messages. I have all kind of git commit messages that show up in my inbox that I don't always mark as read, not to mention

I've developed stuff on Nu before, it's magically easy compared to other language binding frameworks for Cocoa. I still use nutest as a testing infrastructure for projects that use exclusive objective-c.

I think Florian was looking at Froyo, while the author was looking at master. The offending source files are not in Gingerbread: http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=platform/libcore.git;a=tree...

Wouldn't you say that Android is currently the biggest competitor to the iPhone? Apple & Google are both pretty big companies and will likely be competing in the same space given the number of products they both own. Apple's iAds are a

Apple is probably top dog here... they made more in profits than Google's total revenue for 2010 Q4.

If you're using a fairly recent kernel, 2.6.26 supports linux containers natively. You can "boot" a VM in less than 200ms, then start whatever process you need to start. I think when people think of virtualized instances, they think that

I don't agree with your "very slow" sentiment -- can you provide a source that shows that linux-vservers are very slow compared to running on bare metal? To my knowledge, vservers have almost no overhead vs running directly on the machine.

Seems like something like this could have been easily prevented early on using bsd jails or linux vservers for proper sandboxes.

From those stats we don't know, but app developers do know. I would say there are actually significantly more ipod app sales than iphone. It depends on the app, but the app developers that I hang out with tend to have more sales on ipod d

Would be nice to have to source -- I could tweak it for people like myself who are trying to learn the colemak layout. The initial word set would just come from the home-row and slowly branch out to other letter positions.

The fitbit tech is pretty primitive -- it looks like it only has a pedometer inside the device. It's probably why it isn't very accurate at tracking sleep. I've been using my fitbit for a few weeks, but it doesn't seem very accurate at al
