The game operation (the ROM code) itself probably. MAME emulates CPU, various hardware components (which themselves were reversed).... except for a few exceptions, the game ROMs themselves aren't fully reversed.

This is also consistent with Boolean algebra where the empty sum is 0 (any), and the empty product is 1 (all).

In reality this is the effect of trickle up economics. Ie the upper class relies on extracting wealth from the bottom mostly through labor. This is a fight for their own survival.

I used to work in the speech reco space for many years. Fighting this battle was lost long long long ago. Virtually no one outside of the space really cares, and people use speech and voice recognition interchangeably. It’s really more the

Wonder where you got that information from, since CP/M is older than VMS by like 3 years. Can’t be... wonder where this keeps cropping up. Besides CPM filesystem wasn’t hierarchical.

The story goes that Microsoft advocated for a UNIX like path separator for DOS, and it was probably IBM that pushed for the backslash so that they wouldn’t be confused with the option switch character. In any event, blaming Windows for this

That reinvention happened years ago, and it is in the likes of things such as Citrix -- which has existed for years now. It is used widely in industries outside of software development.

Agree to disagree then. X is shit. I remember first reading that chapter in 1998, and it resonated then just as well as it does now. X is shit. It is the weirdest abstraction of network "transparency" which inevitably manages to r

With server side font rendering all but forgotten among other things, any modern app will struggle over a low bandwidth link well. And X has always been crap for latency, even with xcb, it ends up being very round-trip heavy. Modern technol

If you’re concerned about a close match, this is unlikely to give satisfactory results. Take your samples to a good paint store. Those machines are more sophisticated then you may think.

No this seems appropriate. And isn’t too far off from project ideals. The somewhat retconned* argument for using C for GTK+ was that it was the most easy to produce bindings for. This was in the FAQ years ago as a mild discouragement from a
