   um, it says if you have the libs and configured compiler, you can build it. there's also nothing stopping you from doing static builds of whatever application you want to include in your OS.

   Good to know. I haven't decided if I'd prefer going vanilla Ubuntu. I'm going to give Pop some more time yet. I can see benefits; I'm just not sure they're for me.
