HHVM is still a bit faster than PHP7 in most benchmarks (wordpress, etc.). HHVM has also JIT and consumes less memory per request. Though PHP7 is more backward compatible with real word PHP5 code bases and is easier to install.

The Hubot workflow sounds interesting. It seems more and more DevOps prefer it. Has someone first hand experience with such Hubot usage? Do you prefer such commands or would you want to write more informal short sentences?

Yes, especially the MULTICS operating system was so advanced and dozens of decades ahead that we still borrow from its concepts. It had for example 16 security rings. Intel CPUs support only 4 CPU rings, and Windows e.g. uses only 2 rings (

I welcome a Servo based browser with an HTML UI. An one-page email app running on Servo that is inspired by GMails interface would be great. At the moment I use Thunderbird, Outlook 2010 and GMail. Outlook has good calendar integration and

I upvoted you, because you are right. We would be better off, adding optional typing to JavaScript 6/7. They already added "class" syntactic sugar thanks to them. Dart and TypeScript just divide the devs and open code base. I

That's sad, because Adobe Edge was an open source web app running in a webkit/blink window. I always thought it would replace Flash IDE.

When do you use UUIDs and why? I use traditional auto increment integer IDs as primary keys in SQL databases. I use those SQL query results in application code. Debugging seems a lot easier with smaller integer values rather than UUIDs that

The content creators has a dilemma too. Without ads, no money. The party who can solve that are the ad networks. We need a disruptive ad provider that offers non-shitty ads (like ads before the Flash era) and pays reasonable ad-money. Block

Delayed PC version like in GTA V have mainly business reasons. The PC version is usually the most advanced version and the highest graphical details. Some people bought GTA V for PS3/X360, later for PS4/XOne and later for PC.

Not at all. Even IBM Deep Blue chess computer relied heavily on opening and ending chess databases. It's a common thing. Also does the app rely on a server to do the processing? As many F2P and online games do.

Go and Rust have different purposes. You can think of Go as a leaner Java/C#. And Rust as a safer C/C++. Despite both Go and Rust are labeled as "system programming languages" by some, there are different understandings

It's the same. All iOS devices except the iPad Air 2 have less than 2GB RAM (most 512 MB). Android 1-4 devices have often less than 1GB RAM. It's common that only 1-3 apps can stay in RAM depending on the platform and the apps mem
