Well we don’t really know that an accelerometer is needed for input shaping for a nozzle that is only accelerating across a single plane. The mk4 nozzle only moves on one horizontal axis when printing not two like the XL and the Bambu. No

In Minnesota some people had their trailers stolen and dropped into a homeless encampment and the police refused to do anything to avoid a confrontation. Also in Minnesota one cities police refused to recover a stolen vehicle and the citiz

I don’t think the police will do anything about it anymore. It’s a non violent offense and in the name of de escalation, unless they are robbing a bank at the time, they will just ignore it. Sometimes they won’t even do anything if someon

But… maybe you are right? Maybe they give everyone in the state a bike and then just make a 1 billion dollar bike path?

It’s a ride share service, so you rent it one way, with the expectation it goes each way per day. So that’s 700k * 2 trips * 365 days = 511 million rides annually. Even more if people bring passengers.

No, but the roads are already budgeted to be maintained. Also the expected ridership is I assume to be composed of, at least partially, people who are already using the roads. I just found it funny as a number because 35 bil is such a ridic

At 35 billion, you could buy 700k teslas, and then just let everyone drive themselves. It’s probably because the bribes are compounding at each level.

I guess I could agree to disagree? For the market as a whole maybe it is dented. But that quarter panel that got dented is straight wrecked. Nobody likes car dealerships anyway so nobody misses that. The new trend amongst the kids these

I don’t think those are fully like to like comparisons though. You have to run those numbers just for electric. Nobody I know would cross shop a Tesla and a Rav 4. They can have their margins on their ICE catalog but they don’t have it o

I agree it was risky, and close to failing, but that’s what usually happens with great things. I don’t think any other car company that makes electric cars would say they aren’t playing catch up with Tesla. They seem to perpetually be a f

But their owners love them and the kids love them. If you adjust the market to be just for what they do, electric cars and not all cars, they are indeed wrecking them. It was a segment the ICE car manufacturers mostly ignored and now they

They may be over valued but everybody is absolutely playing catch-up and are quite a bit away from their profit margins. What’s even worse for the legacy companies is Tesla is the Kleenex/Coke of electric cars to a lot of young minds.

Having absolute rules doesn’t mean having rebellious kids. I have an absolute rule to look both ways before crossing the street and nobody had ever rebelled against that. But I 100% agree you do have to explain and you do have to eat your

Part of it is never letting them start early in the first place. Stay strong and don’t give in. The old saying “If they were your real friends they wouldn’t care…” is more true than it is cliche. Try to make them understand that.

Can you provide some? None of those studies ever say “go to bed earlier and wake up earlier” they always say “shoulder shrug make things later”.

Maybe groggy wasn’t right. I think what I meant is most people like to have a morning routine. Read the paper, read HN, have a bagel, things like that. If you plan to get up early and skip your morning routine you will be distracted. So

But this study is asserting that the earliest 8am class, of a system that runs 8am to 4pm, has the worst performance. It can’t say that a 9am class in a system of 9am to 5pm would have better performance at 9am, and it certainly can’t say t

I think having to make an early morning class is part of the learning process. I don’t think they should cater to them at all and believe it would actually be a disservice to do so. I’m also not trying to blame the students, but instead th

You are right I can only try to infer information from them that’s not provided. I would infer there is a distribution of when people get up and the 8am classes have the largest set of people getting up nearest to the class start time. S

Since most live on campus, at least in the US, I bet they can do that. I would love to see this sliced by commuter students because I bet they’d have it together.

I am aware but I think that 8am is not early enough for that to be a major driver. I think it is as simple as insufficient planning and personal discipline.

The problem is you don’t remove 8am classes, you reschedule them. And since prof time is a finite resource, they would now be at a new late time that could not actually be represented in the study. So is a new class later than the latest

This is only because people like to wake up at the last second and are still groggy during class. If you have an 8am class don’t get up at 7:55am, get up at 6:30am. You may like it less but you’ll be awake for class and you’ll do better.

I think what people are concerned about is the selectiveness of the reports. What if the FBI only happened to report violations by Asians. Or only violations by women? I guess it would not be censorship, and I guess it would not be not ille
