So cool to see Kevin doing a deep dive on this crisis with the goal of making an impact. It says a lot about his character that he chooses to spend his time doing this.

How bad will their data be after this crisis? If 30% of restaurants/bars don't survive, updating their data is going to be a challenge.

Theoretically they may be equivalent, but they are not equivalent when executive bonuses are tied to increasing earnings-per-share and stock price.

This is the response the govt should’ve had in January. Ramp up test kits, PPE, reagents, etc as fast as possible. If it all goes to waste, be happy that a pandemic was avoided. So much could’ve been done for the cost of a couple of F-35s.

They may have had a plan, but very few boards and investors were letting management hold excess resources for a rainy day.

In the early 2000s, rents really didn’t go down. In rent controlled buildings you should expect they will still ask for the max increase. That’s what happened back then and people were moving away in droves.

One of the biggest differences during the dotcom crash was how much of it played out online. There was so much chatter in online forums and websites like f*ckedcompany. This crisis seems silent in comparison.

Yes, the bailout should've required all flights scheduled during shelter-in-place to be refunded. Millions of consumer dollars tied up in airline credits is a net drag on economic stimulus.

Making sure everyone has broadband and a strong WiFi signal In the room they are using for videoconferencing. One person dropping audio and glitching can dramatically reduce the quality of a meeting.

I felt the same way as you about my 2015 13” so I reformatted the drive with apfs and did a fresh install of Mojave. Got a ton of storage back and it runs like a new machine. One of the best things I’ve ever done.

Exactly. It also takes a couple of days to make plans, consult the lawyers, do the calculations and have payroll ready. This has escalated so fast it will probably take until Friday for companies to act.

Friday will be the day we find out how much boards are asking their companies to reduce burn. The first large wave of layoffs will probably happen this Friday and then it will be a nervous few weeks. Much more similar to 2001 than 2008.
