Not GP, but try an elimination diet. I had chronic sinus headaches and cutting out a ton of foods fixed it. My brother is diagnosed celiac, I am not because you have to eat gluten for the blood test or do a stomach biopsy, both of which I&#

I hate slack and chat in general being temporary at basically everywhere I have worked. So often a colleague will give you instructions on some process then the next time you need it, it's gone.

I have a manual (2018), I'd buy an electric for the acceleration but they need to make it a $30k autocross car. Don't mind if it's a death trap, just fast and cheap.

Ha, I know that building. There is always graffiti along the top. Didn't know it was empty. That's a 10/10, next to a metro stop and freeway entrance. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Looks like it changed hands for 2.8m in

That's insane. More fun LA facts. LA produced ~60k housing units out of a goal of ~80k over the last 8 years. Their goal for the next 8 years is 450k. They are starting at least 1 year late due to the COVID eviction moratorium. Right n

I disagree. Someone is funding the construction in the same way that someone is paying for the land and keeping it subdivided (rental units) and available. Tenants are more than welcome to form LLCs and collectively purchase land and build

My issue with this solution is we do not even allow private entities to build dense housing. So we are breaking a market and then saying the state is the solution. I interact with the government regularly and I do not have faith in their ca

I'll take the supply position. So much of LA is zoned for SFHs. Now they can have an ADU but that doesn't do much. We need density. We need to make it easier to build. That slows down climbing rents. LA housing is at a massive def

There is huge value in subdividing land and building, creating housing for people who cannot afford to buy and build. You're stuck in a suburbia mindset. Not everyone can afford a SFH, there isn't enough land. Not everyone can aff

I disagree, landlords are price takers. There is not much I can do to drive my rents up if no one wants to pay it. If my rents are below market, I can get them up to market. But pushing it beyond that is competitive based on location and ho

It is because it is incredibly difficult to build new housing. Zoning is the supply constraint.

Preach. I have a property zoned for 14 units, the entire ground floor will be parking in order to build that many.

I agree, people should be able to do with their property what they want. Many SFH owners actively try to block development of the properties they do not own, unfortunately.

This is 100% true up until demand is met, then it will stabilize. Currently though, the more you can utilize land the more it is worth. Single families can compete against 2 families for the land, it is a lot harder when you can fit 10 uni

We do not need to hand over ownership to the government to build more houses. Just simplify zoning laws. Private landlords want to build. People want to maximize the value of their properties. They can't because of zoning laws that fav

The even easier argument is how many college students and new grads can afford to buy a house? Subdividing property that people can't afford is a valuable service.

For the bottom up side of this, https://deeplearning.ai . Where fast.ai gets you started training models immediately, deeplearning.ai has you implementing neural nets from scratch in NumPy then transitions to TensorFlow.

I have an interest in relaxing zoning so I can build. You can't even listen to someone deeply involved in a system telling you how it is broken, or what the incentives you are suggesting will lead to. * Rent control privatizes the cost
